Monkeys, Goats, and Meta

Coming to you from the JRE Tobacco Aladino Studios, Nick fires up the Sarzedas, a new cigar from JC Newman, and discusses a few random happenings taking place recently.

First up we discuss the random appearance of some monkeys and a goat in downtown St Louis. While there is definitely cause for concern, it has been amusing to see the internet do its thing and make it something fun. 

From there, Nick discusses a new threat to cigars, this time coming from Meta - parent company of Facebook and Instagram. In another of a long line of changes social media has enacted that will negatively impact the cigar industry, Meta has stopped recommending many cigar related pages due to undisclosed and vague violations of community standards.

2025 by the Numbers

Coming to you from the JRE Tobacco Aladino Studios, Nick rings in the new year by going over 2025 with a fine toothed comb and diving into the data of what he smoked last year. 

Nick tracks every cigar he smokes so that he can review the data and analyze his smoking. We cover his most smoked cigar of the year, his top brands, his top vitolas, and much more. We also compare the 2025 data to 2024 to see what that may tell us as well. It's a heavy data episode but it's a fascinating insight into the habits of a heavy cigar smoker. 

And Nick encourages his listeners to track their cigar smoking as well to compile the same data for themselves this time next year. It can be very insightful and can show you a lot about yourself and your hobby you didn't even realize!
